Local pilgrims on way to new lands

The way is long and the gate is narrow to heaven, but joy is the only sensation worth feeling when on pilgrimage to the homeland of a saint. Our group from Pittsburgh leaves the City of Champions for Madrid to attend the beatification ceremony of Alvaro del Portillo, the successor of St. Josemaria and the prelate Bishop of Opus Dei from 1975-1994.  Like the great medieval pilgrims of the middle ages


we leave the comforts, familiarities and even the heroes of home behind, in this case Franco Harris and the Steelers. Here we go!
